Teach Me To Whine

A couple of days ago I was whining about getting up at 6:15 AM. Little did I know.  The next day I had to get up at 4:15 to take John to work and tomorrow I have to awake at 4:45 to take James to meet a bus to go to Nashville to compete in an Academic Team match for his high school.

Teach me to complain.

Then tomorrow I have a wedding to go to in the afternoon so a nap is out unless the reception is really boring and I dose off.

Sharon made the groom’s cake. If you have never heard of a groom’s cake you obviously don’t live in the south. A groom’s cake is obviously for the groom. It is usually a theme cake that represents his likes or the age old joke of a man being caught instead of willful matrimony.

She worked on it all last night. I would show you pictures but I don’t want it to get reposted onto Facebook. It would ruin the surprise when he sees the cake for the first time. Plus it would most certainly ruin my afternoon if he announces he saw it here or Facebook first.

I’ll post pictures of the cake tomorrow.

Tonight I am reporting on the Glasgow High School football game. They are playing Allen County- Scottsville in Scottsville.

It should be a good game. I hope it’s good because it’s much easier to write a recap of a good game then a bad. Some because a bad game isn’t as exciting but also, maybe, because I get bored and don’t pay as much attention as I should. Either way I should be okay tonight.

Tonight is also the first game I have covered this year where I’ll need a coat. It’s predicted to get into the forties tonight. It won’t before the game is over but even sixty will feel chilly after getting used to hot weather all summer.

Hope you have a good night and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
